Shout Outs for Game 1: Call to Adventure

Post by Xenia »

Staff can't see everything that happens and we know we miss out on some amazing things. As such, we turn to you, the players!

Vote for up to 3 different players you'd like to give a shout out to! This can be for good RP, being impressed by how they handle themselves in combat, playing a great example of an auspice... whatever it is you want to see more of in this game! Whoever gets the most votes by the time the poll closes gets our Forum Shout Out for this game!

In addition to voting, feel free to respond to this post with more information on what the shout out is for so people know what they're doing right!

As with ST Shout Outs, the player can choose either an extra Downtime Action, one of each type of temporary renown, or a plot cookie to be handed out at a later date.

Poll closes on Saturday 4/23 so the winners can still use the extra Downtime Action if that's their choice.

(As a last note, if you'd like to change how your name or your character's name appears on this list in the future, let us know in your staff chat)

Zolzya - Coming over and giving help with that puzzle, having a second person to throw ideas off of really helped

Old Alina - That costuming and roleplay was amazing

Coldsnap - Always love lupus portrayals and mindset vs homid preconceptions of class ('What do you mean the ostraka is beneath you? He's earned his rank!')

For Tea for the sheer level of menace and competence you managed to convey in how you stand. Physical RP is so good.

For Amyntas for being the perfect blend of nobility, duty, and dissipation. Your ideas on marriage are messed up; well done!

For Pelagon because trying to portray a shy character in a LARP is super hard. You had the perfect amount of “too many people” combined with “I really want to help” in the Dokos scene.

Téa: Discussing rage with the kinfolk and what shifting forms feels like.

Artio: worried about their portion of the Cearn Building challenge and then knocking it clean out of the park.

Dmitrios: CHARADES!

Silent Wind - Giving an impassioned speech about whether Bygones, Heroes, or Gods would be best to strengthen the Sept.

Eunike and Old Alina - for convincingly portraying their characters.

Old Alina for Big Crone Energy! Amazing costuming, perfectly brittle voice, and a delight to chat visions with over coffee -- err, invigorating herbal tinctures. At the end of the night, she excused herself from a scene with the signature grandma Fair Escape move, "I'm TIRED. Good NIGHT."

Eunike - I really enjoyed our scene towards the end of the night about music, worship, politics, and radical hospitality. Those Apollonians bringing the sunshine!

Euphrosyne for really doing Demeter proud with equal parts nurturing and terrifying. The truce with the "goose" was wonderful -- especially with the threat of pestilence to any who would harm Homer. (She'll do it. She - will - do - it.) Earlier in the night I was admiring her hair, and asked in passing for beauty tips - without missing a beat, she was like, "Olive oil," and shared her routine with me. I feel like Rite of the Lustrous Mane should be a thing.

I wasn't even in the scene, but I had to stifle a laugh at Nikodemus shouting "we could have had an armory!"

Silent Wind's impassioned speech which almost brought roughly a dozen Garou to consensus. Really awesome RP.

Dikastis for the discussion on Garou law.

Blake - I didn't say two words to this man all night yet the regal silence he stood in both intrigued me and intimidated me.

Ogre - The final battle with the Wyrm was super-fast and over in 2 rounds. The Winter Wolf and Spartans did most of the heavy lifting and as soon as the Spirits showed up to reward everyone Dikastis announces "Thank you Spartans, but now I need all the Adrens and Athros to gather and make the decision on the direction of the sept", knowing that all the Spartans were Fostern and Cliath. OOC this was the funniest damn thing and the most Shadow Lord move I have seen in many years.

Mo - I like the interactions with the character but loved the costume. All night I kept staring at this guy thinking "damn, he killed it with that costume".

Eric - hey thanks for distracting the you-know-who while I checked out the you-know-what

Janya - I wasn't directly involved, but I noticed that you did an OOC check-in with a player after a staredown challenge. Hooray for good RP habits!

Robbie - puzzle buddies! and thanks for the immediate heal from that backlash agg, btw - Zolzaya will remember this!

Apologies for the delay!

Congratulations to Kya, Michelle, and Ogre for gaining the Forum Shout Out for Game 1!

Please let us know in your character forum if you would like a Downtime Action (which can be used either for next game or the one after, since we missed the DT deadline in rewarding this), Renown (1 temporary Glory, Honor, and Wisdom), or a plot cookie!
