Game 8 Kudos!

Post by Xenia »

Staff love AND player love! Throw it all in here!

We're not doing full-blown shouts for this game, since it wasn't a REAL real game, but I'd still love to hear everyone's hyp efor things they saw in other players and from staff members!

A delightful set of adventures! I appreciate how unique each task was, and how the staff helped enable players to choose the one best suited for their talents and interest so that everyone could feel effective.

Special shout out to Travis for running the one that I was in. We had a great time (and I love that I ended up a mirror yet again...)

Had a good time at the Pack Leaders & Interested Others meeting, excellent information sharing. I love love love hearing all of the various pieces of lore and intel that people learned - it's fascinating and thank you to everyone who shared!

Zolzaya for insightful, thought-provoking lines of questioning always. Jen, nominating Stelios to handle the Despoina/Dionysus problem was HEAVEN.

Stelios for accepting the nomination, and being a great host to all of us, and for helping us hear what was being said! Johny, I really love the humor with this character, and the touch that your guy's an astronomy nerd. Let's chat about the Dokos Space Program.

Elissa and Jabari for a beautiful, moving little scene at the very end of the night, as they shared how they'd held hands with the Moon, and now had Gnosis. That felt monumental and meaningful. Very beautiful family moment, Gabe and Sam!

Meanwhile, over in The Marble Cinematic Universe, Jacob ran us through a profoundly moving, existentially terrifying scenario with gnarly combat that very nearly killed us. There was spicy math, angry statuary, and really cool interactions with heroes of old. I loved the opportunity for a classic Greek pyrrhic victory. And no, Jacob, none of us looked back at our dupes killing themselves, geez!

Travis and Chrys, thanks for looping it all together, both in the big meeting and at the end with our above-and-below rituals. I realize we were SUPER crunched for time, but I loved the opportunity to interview the Elemental Princes. Thanks to everyone in our scene for their great questions and serious thoughts on what -- if any -- door to open. Hodosian in particular, big kudos for discovering the rite and having the wisdom to suggest *not* using it.

Thanks again for a great game, y'all! Next time I can make it, I'll bring a different kettle that won't overdraw my generator so we can finally have WEREWOLF TEA PARTY.

With holy voice I call the stars on high, pure sacred lights and daimones of the sky...
Refulgent rays around the heav'ns ye throw, eternal fires, the source of all below.
With flames significant of Fate ye shine, and aptly rule for men a path divine.
-Orphic Hymn VI, Astron
