Following the Rite of the Opened Doors, Polyphanes sets a table at the heart of the caern, laden with offerings of thanks to the elemental princes for centuries of patience. The table is dressed to honor them with a singing bowl filled with lustral water, a prayer wheel with bells, shards of volcanic obsidian mixed with ash, and rich soil from the mountain. In the center of the table, the central gnosis gem and connection glimmers with starlight.
In the coming days and nights, the Ritemaster weaves a sprawling design of golden threads and yellow chalk: a cosmic map depicting the Caern's astrological birth chart. Blue, green, and red strands connect the tokens signifying the planets, illustrating cosmic tensions and harmonies.
The Caern, surprising no one, is an Aries.
The stargazer whistles and sings as he works, sometimes pausing to play the lyre or kithāra as he contemplates the umbral heavens:
strange melodies echoing from
distant times. The work continues in the Umbra, with the threads and planetary tokens humming with gnosis there.
